Island Consulting is FSPI's
programme to build the capacity of its affiliates and their staff
through involvement in consulting work.
It is a financially independent business arm of FSPI, employs Pacific
Islanders in regional and national short-term consulting work in a
broad spectrum of community development areas, including natural resource
management, disaster preparedness, community outreach and facilitation.
Island Consulting draws on expertise from both within the FSPI network
and other regional organisations. FSPI links more experienced consultants
with staff who have capacity, but limited opportunity to acquire experience
of their own.
