Timor Aid has entered into an alliance with the Australian
Foundation for the Peoples of Asia and the Pacific (AFAP), a non-profit
organisation with development programs in the Asia-Pacific region.
AFAP is based in Sydney. Timor Aid and AFAP have agreed to work together
to assist the people of Timor through selected development projects.
At a minimum this cooperation ranges from AFAP support in processing
Timor Aid raised funds, and can, if explicitly agreed to, extend to
project and proposal development, management of all facets of a project
and program cycle, fundraising to support appropriate community development
activities and Australian community education on the situation in
Timor.
AFAP has played a major role during the emergency period, by providing
technical, management and logistics support to TA. It's currently
funding Dr. José Ramos Horta Microfinance Project.
Just World Partners currently sponsors three projects
implemented by Timor Aid: Mobile Health Clinics, Disabled Children
and Capacity Building.
Evangelischer Entwicklungs Dienst (EED/DU) is a Christian Church
Organisation based in Bonn, Germany. EED finances two (2) technical
experts, namely the Timor Aid Programs Co-ordinator and Timor Aid
Human Resources and Institutional Development Adviser. Their responsibilities
are to transfer their professional skills to the Timorese counterparts
during three year period.
