FSP Vanuatu feels that the range of different projects
they cover is a strength in
that their implementation involves a symbiotic learning process that helps
nurture them as an organisation. The underlying theme of all they do relates
back to FSPVs basic tenets of community involvement, participation and
strengthening using appropriate methodologies and techniques that are
increasingly taking account of traditional methods. Its location and
experience places them in a crucial position: able to relate to the very
communities they aim to serve and yet also willing and able to engage with a
range of actors from government to donor to regional organisations and
whoever else that wants an experienced and competent civil society
organization involved in their project development and implementation.
In an ideal world they would like to be less donor driven, sustainably
localised and more able to respond to the needs of their members and the
grassroots generally.
