Leaine Robinson- Regional Health Programme Coordinator

Leaine (Lee as she is more commonly called) holds undergraduate qualifications in Applied Psychology and Industrial Relations and is currently pursuing post graduate qualifications. Her emphasis has been in the areas of Community health, Counseling, Community policy and advocacy and Peacebuilding and Governance. Prior to joining the Health programme, Leaine was with the Governance Programme, specifically co-ordinating a six country Community Based Mediation project which focused on peacebuilding at the community level using mediation as a conflict resolution tool.

Leaine has been with FSPI for over 5 years and is now the coordinator of the Regional Health programme. She brings to the Health programme experience in community facilitation, peacebuilding at the community level, policy development for advocacy, mediation and counseling skills, research, report and proposal writing skills and project co-ordination. Leaine has attended numerous trainings and capacity building meets on gender, gender responsive governance, violence against women, human rights and peace and security and is committed to the need to create safe spaces where Pacific communities can come together to dialogue about their issues and priorities and plan for strategies to effect these priorities within their community and eventually at the policy level.

She works as the coordinator of the programme and manages its current projects. This includes the provision of TA across the region, M&E, reporting and implementation of the project activities. For any queries related to the FSPI Health programme please contact her.

Tura Lewai Gender and Arts Officer

Tura Lewai holds a bachelors of Arts Degree in Applied Psychology and Politics. Prior to joining FSPI he was with the UNICEF Child Protection Policy Research Team as a travelling counselor for the research team.  Tura Lewai was also one of Four young people that came together to start a youth group that continues to advocate for youth issues, the Young Peoples Concerned Network.

After which he joined the Youth Champs for Mental Health, which was initiated by a few young people themselves. But the aforementioned was facilitated by FSPI and local networkpartner PCDF. He was part of the 2007 Malaga Singers but currently is part of an all male Accapella group called the Dynamic Vocals.
The Dynamic Vocals was commissioned in 2010 to develop a script and put together a drama on Gender Based Violence. A process in which Tura facilitated, and has been witnessed by Community Facilitators  in the Stepping Stones Project. He currently works on the Gender component within Stepping Stones emphasizing on the use of drama to ignite conversations on gender relations and gender based violence.
