FSPI had first approached the Canada Fund in 2001 to assist the Secretariat in materials development and information disseminatioln. The FSPI Annual Report was the focal point of this project, as it represented an ideal opportunity to train FSPI staff in designing and authoring information materials. In addition to the Annual Report, Canada Fund's support assisted FSPI to train staff on putting together key organisational documents such as the FSPI Strategic Planning Document; FSPI Code of Conduct and Staff Handbook.
